Hereditary disease: cardiovascular disorders

Cardiovascular diseases affect the heart and blood vessels and are a leading cause of illness and death. Some are hereditary, and genetic testing can help with diagnosis and determining the right treatment and follow-up plan. Knowing about a hereditary cardiovascular disorder enables someone to be proactive about their health, including taking preventative medication and making lifestyle changes.

29 September is World Heart Day. This is a day dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging people to think about cardiovascular diseases. With that in mind, we have designed this infographic to introduce hereditary cardiovascular diseases.
