Overview
Pfeiffer syndrome (acrocephalosyndactyly type V) is an inherited craniofacial and skeletal disorder characterised by multisuture craniosynostosis with broad, medially deviated thumbs and great toes. Three clinical subtypes are recognised, ranging from the classic phenotype with normal cognition to severe forms with cloverleaf skull and intellectual disability.
