Hyper-IgM syndrome (HIGM) is an inherited primary immunodeficiency characterised by recurrent bacterial and opportunistic infections. Affected individuals show low serum IgG, IgA, and IgE with normal or elevated IgM, reflecting impaired immunoglobulin class-switch recombination.
