Overview
X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency (X-SCID) is caused by loss-of-function variants in IL2RG encoding the common gamma chain (γc) of multiple cytokine receptors, leading to developmental arrest of T and NK lymphocytes and a profound combined immunodeficiency fatal in infancy without haematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
