Overview
Glutaric acidaemia type 1 (GA1) is caused by deficiency of glutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase, leading to neurotoxic accumulation of glutaric and 3-hydroxyglutaric acids with preferential bilateral striatal injury and progressive complex movement disorders.
