PGx irinotecan
Irinotecan is a topoisomerase-I inhibitor used to treat several solid tumours. UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A1 (UGT1A1) inactivates its active metabolite SN-38, and reduced-function UGT1A1 genotypes raise the risk of severe toxicity. This analysis determines UGT1A1 metaboliser status from the *6 and *28 alleles and reports the diplotype with the derived phenotype. It assesses the gene-to-drug relationship only and gives no dosing recommendation.
