PRIVACY POLICY

Details on our privacy policy are outlined below

Data Protection

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your personal data is treated confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

It is usually possible to use our website without providing personal information. In the case that personal data is collected (for example name, address or email address), this occurs, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. These data will not be passed to a third party without your explicit permission.

Please be aware that data transmission over the internet (such as communication by email) may carry security risks; it is not possible to protect data completely against access by third parties.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies do no damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. They enable us to provide a more user-friendly, effective and secure service. Cookies are small text files that are deposited on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”, which are automatically deleted after your session. Other cookies remain saved on your computer until you delete them; these enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit our website.

You can configure your browser settings so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can allow them in individual cases, accept them in certain cases or generally exclude them, as well as activating the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Server Log Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

Browser type and version

Operating system used

Referrer URL

Host name of accessing computer

Time of server request

These data cannot be assigned to a specific person, nor will the data be merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check the data retrospectively, if we become aware of definite indications for illegal use.

Contact Form

If you make an inquiry using the contact form, your details, including the contact data you provided, will be stored in order to process your query and in case of further questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent.

Data Collection

The personal data you provide when registering for training events will be used to process your participation in the event. Participation in training events is recorded in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with a view to sending specialist information and invitations to training events in the future. You can object to the storage of your personal data and thus the related sending of further information material when registering online, or at any time by email to info@medicover-genetics.com.

Newsletter Data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on our website, we require not only an email address, but also information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the given email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected. We use your data exclusively for the delivery of the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

You may revoke consent to the storage of data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis tool Google Analytics. It is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your website use.  The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it is stored.

IP Anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union or other countries within the European Economic Area Agreement, prior to transmission to the United States.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the website owner, to evaluate your use of the website, generate reports on web activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website owner. The IP address transferred from your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google.

Browser Plug-in

You can prevent cookies being saved on your computer through the corresponding setting of your browser software. However, please be aware that in this case you may not be possible to use all functions of this website fully.

In addition, you can prevent Google collecting the data generated by the cookie and date related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as preventing the data being processed by Google by downloading the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Objection to Data Collection

You can prevent your data being collected by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be placed that prevents your data being recorded during future visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics

Further information about user data is handled by Google Analytics can be found in Google’s privacy notice: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en

Contract Data Processing

We have a contract data processing agreement with Google and we fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic Characteristics in Google Analytics

This website uses the demographics feature of Google Analytics. As a result, reports can be created providing information on the age, gender and interests of the website visitors. These data come from interest-based advertising from Google and user data from third party providers. These data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time using the Ads Settings in your Google account, or you can generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section Opposing Data Collection.

SSL Encryption

This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transfer of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection when the address line of the browser displays “https://” instead of “http://” and by the padlock icon in your browser line.

If SSL encryption is enabled, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Right to Information, Deletion or Blocking

You have the right to free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing, as well as a right to correct, block or delete the data. To do this, or for further questions about data protection, you can contact Datenschutz@medizinische-genetik.de at any time.

Objection to Advertising Emails

The use of the contact information published in the compulsory imprint for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby opposed. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of receipt of unsolicited advertising information, for example through spam emails.

Data Protection for Applicants

By sending application documents, the applicant agrees declares that their data will be stored in accordance with the legal requirements and that the data transmitted by you to us may be collected, processed and used for the purpose of processing the application. Please note that applications may contain particularly sensitive information, such as details of mental and physical health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a union or political party or sex life, and that data transmitted by email is not automatically protected. Thus, these data are theoretically visible and open to modification by unauthorized third parties. If in doubt, please send us your application by post.

In the event that a contract results, the necessary information such as name, address and data required to process the contract will be stored by us. Your personal application data will be deleted three months after completion of the application process. This does not apply if legal requirements preclude deletion, further storage for the purpose of providing evidence is required or if you have expressly consented to an extended storage period. This may be the case if we do not have a current job-opening that we can offer, but that your profile suggests your application may be of interest for future vacancies. In this case, we would store your personal data for 12 months provided that you expressly consent to the storage and use of your data. Under no circumstances will your data be disclosed to third parties.
