OPEN POSITIONS

Senior Scientist – Martinsried, Germany

To support and strengthen our Scientific Services department, we are looking for a motivated and dedicated Senior Scientist, with a passion for innovation and further development of molecular genetic diagnostics and reporting, to join our Molecular Genetics department as soon as possible. The position is permanent, full or part-time, and based in Martinsried, close to Munich in Southern Germany.

Job description
In this position, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team of highly motivated scientists and physicians that emphasize the importance of high quality interpretation of genetic sequences, in relation to the clinical picture of each case. Medicover Genetics has a large international portfolio that includes single genes and rare disease diagnostic panels across 16 medical specialities, whole exome and whole genome sequencing. This position is in our central laboratory, where we have a team of more than 300 scientists, medical and technical personnel. You will also work closely with the Molecular Diagnostics Teams based in Poland and Romania.

Your main responsibility will be to provide molecular genetic reports for data generated from next generation sequencing, including single gene, panel and whole exome sequencing analyses. We will provide a complete onboarding program, training and access to our data analysis platform. You will analyze the sequencing data using our recently updated pipeline, and each case will be interpreted within the context of the full clinical picture. Given our expertise across many medical specialties and experience in genetic diagnostics, you will always be supported when you need it. Additionally, you will provide support for our regional sales team, in offering molecular diagnostic testing to local partners.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Scientific evaluation of molecular genetic test results from routine diagnostics (NGS data, Sanger sequencing, MLPA, etc.)
• Evaluation of the results in a clinical context and preparation of molecular genetic reports
• Scientific and organizational support of diagnostics (e.g., continuous updating of the portfolio and information materials)
• Cross-functional communication with key stakeholders, including medical and scientific staff, marketing, sales, and operations
• Establishment, validation and incorporation of new examination methods/techniques into routine diagnostics
• Publication/presentation of medical-scientific contributions at national/international specialist congresses

Your qualifications:
• Life science degree (biology, molecular diagnostics, or a comparable field of study), advanced degree desirable
• Profound knowledge in genetics, molecular genetics and human biology
• Interest in genetic indications and diagnosis
• Experience in human genetic diagnostics is desirable
• Responsible, independent and solution-oriented working attitude
• Ability to work in a team as well as show commitment and flexibility
• Motivation to familiarize yourself with new specialist areas and technologies
• Very good written and spoken English and German skills are a must

Business Development Technology Transfer – Middle East

The Medicover Genetics Business Unit is seeking, for market growth opportunities, a sales specialist for technology transfer focused on the Middle East market. The role is accountable for technology transfer opportunities of genetic testing in the region. It is a growing business where Medicover Genetics offers regulated lab licensing for multiple therapeutics, enabling in house clinical genetics. Therefore, project management skills, strategic thinking, planning, presenting, and problem solving, are key skills required. The candidate is expected to focus on complex deals, customer networking, regulatory aspects and lab support.

This role will report to the Director of Sales, Medicover Genetics and the successful candidate will work remotely from the Middle East/Turkey/Egypt.

You will be responsible for:
• Creating and presenting weekly and quarterly regional forecasts
• Building strategic plan to grow short term and long term plans
• Identifying and supporting new markets opportunities
• Building relationships with customers to promote penetration, retention and loyalty
• Delivering on sales targets and plan
• Prioritizing projects and resources
• Identifying and nurturing Key Opinion Leaders
• Providing market intelligence that influences the strategic plan
• Identifying competitor activities and develop tactical activities
• Coordinating with Marketing to deliver updates

Your profile:
• Masters in Molecular Biology or related field
• Solid background in Genetics
• Very good communication and presentation skills
• Commercial acumen and strong desire to meet and exceed targets
• Independently motivated by driving and achieving success
• Min 5 years sales experience in life science environment, and complex deal experience
• Fluent in English – written and spoken skills
• Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50% of working time), valid driver’s license

Head of Marketing, Medicover Genetics – Europe

Medicover Genetics is a Business Unit within the Medicover Diagnostic Services division. The role we are recruiting for is Head of Marketing, Medicover Genetics.

This is a senior leader role in a growing Business Unit. If you are passionate about up and downstream marketing that is an escalator for, and drives growth, as well as working with people from all functions, then this is the role for you! We are looking for someone with strong marketing leadership to be part of this entrepreneurial and dynamic Business Unit.

In your role, you will report to the Head of Medicover Genetics.

You will be responsible for:
• Strategic Marketing
– Evaluate and understand market trends, customer needs and competitive landscapes to identify new markets, products, and customer opportunities
– Develop & implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business goals, using market research and predictions to define new products/services development
– Strategic Positioning: define how Medicover Genetics differentiates itself in the market(s) and articulates its value proposition
– Setting a Clear Vision and Direction of where Medicover Genetics is going in the medium and longer term, ensuring all operational aspects of the Business Unit are aligned to that
– Collaborate with R&D, Sales/Commercial, and Business Development teams to develop go-to-market plans for new products and services
– Lead the Product Management team to develop comprehensive end2end plans for new products and services including pricing, positioning, and launch strategies

• Operational/Tactical Marketing
– Work closely with the Sales/Commercial Directors to define and align commercial agendas and execution of commercial strategies including pricing
– Determine adequate resource allocation to support the strategic initiatives and to drive growth across the Business Unit
– Brand Management: In collaboration with internal functions define and manage the brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and touch points. Develop messaging frameworks in line with brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive brand image, with overall responsibility for marketing materials for the different channels used by the Business Unit
– Campaign Development: Lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns across all channels including digital, social, print. Collaborate with internal functions and creative teams (including branding & communications) to produce compelling content and marketing materials

• Analytics and Reporting: Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Analyse performance data to optimize campaigns, track ROI and provide feedback and insights to the Business Unit Leader and leadership team
• Define and manage the marketing budget effectively, allocating resources to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives
• Lead, coach, develop your team and the organization to be the best in class regarding all aspects of upstream and downstream marketing
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to support marketing initiatives and drive business growth

Your Profile:
• University degree in Marketing or equivalent through relevant experience
• +10 years’ experience in marketing, preferably with time spent in international marketing in the Pharma, Healthcare Services and/or medical devices domains
• Experienced Strategic and tactical marketeer that has the ambition and determination to create a new function within a Business Unit
• You know how to grow and motivate an engaged team and function around you
• You can collaborate at a senior level with various areas of the business – Sales, R&D, Finance, HR etc. – and to create momentum and buy-in with functional and geographical/market leaders
• A proven record of accomplishment demonstrating growth and the ability to deliver successful results
• Strong strategic and conceptual thinking competencies aligning to strong results orientation & at the same time an ability & willingness to roll up your own sleeves
• Ability to take high-level direction of requirements and be able to translate these into practical, operational, cohesive plans

Supply Chain Specialist – Cyprus

We are seeking to recruit to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic and diverse department.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager, and will provide support in warehousing, materials handling, order fulfilment, inventory control and vendors.
The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager, who will provide guidance and support for your professional growth and success.

The successful Supply Chain Specialist will possess strong organizational, customer service and communication skills.

You will be responsible for:
• Be detail-oriented team player with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Prepare purchase orders to vendors and confirms delivery date, quantity ordered and price correctness
• Track orders and ensures timely delivery
• Expedite delivery of goods to users
• Obtain price quotes from vendors and prepares evaluations
• Process invoices and other related to orders documents for payments/ archiving including reconciliation of purchase orders versus invoices
• Update internal databases with order details (vendors, skus data, dates)
• Monitor stock levels as needed physically and through the stock control module of the ERP

R&D Scientist – Cyprus

Medicover Genetics is seeking to recruit a passionate and self-motivated Scientist, to join our dynamic group of experts. Successful candidates will work in the Research & Development Department of ‎the company and will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in our ‎state-of-the-art facility in Nicosia, Cyprus.

This role will report to the Scientific Director, Medicover Genetics, and the successful candidate will be based in Cyprus.

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate must uphold to the highest standards and ‎be able to contribute to the company’s mission to develop and provide the safest and most ‎accurate genetic tests.‎

You will be responsible for:
• Responsible to perform research and development for all phases of product development for screening and diagnostic methods, including assay development, technical and clinical validation
• Utilizing knowledge to develop and optimize assay conditions
• Assisting in project planning based on project goals, potential risks and timelines as assigned by management
• Ensuring high quality, on-time delivery within the stated project goals
