Cardiovascular diseases affect the heart and blood vessels and are a leading cause of illness and death. Some are hereditary, and genetic testing can help with diagnosis and determining the right treatment and follow-up plan. Knowing about a hereditary cardiovascular disorder enables someone to be proactive about their health, including taking preventative medication and making lifestyle changes.

29 September is World Heart Day. This is a day dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging people to think about cardiovascular diseases. With that in mind, we have designed this infographic to introduce hereditary cardiovascular diseases.

Our website contains more information about hereditary cardiovascular disorders.
